Carpentry services for homes in the Hamptons and on Long Island

Custom Cabinetry Installation

Cabinetry is only as good as its installation. We set custom cabinets and built-ins so they sit level, meet walls and ceilings cleanly and line up with the rest of the room — including in older homes where nothing is perfectly square.

What it includes

  • Layout checked against your drawings and the room's actual dimensions
  • Setting, leveling and securing base and wall cabinets
  • Built-in bookcases, media walls, wardrobes, desks and window seats
  • Scribing, filler strips and end panels fit to walls, floors and ceilings
  • Crown, light rail and finish trim that tie the cabinetry into the room
  • Doors, drawers and hardware installed and adjusted

When you might need it

  • Your cabinetry has been ordered and needs a careful, precise install
  • You're adding built-ins — a library wall, a media wall, a home office or a window seat
  • A renovation calls for new cabinetry to be integrated with existing trim
  • Existing built-ins need to be reset, extended or trimmed out

Our work here is installation. We don't build cabinetry in a shop of our own — we install the cabinetry and built-in components selected for your project.

Finish Carpentry

Trim is what the eye reads first. Finish carpentry gives a room its lines — where the walls meet the floor and ceiling, and how every door and window is framed. We install it so joints stay tight, reveals stay even and each piece is ready for paint or finish.

What it includes

  • Baseboard and shoe molding
  • Crown molding, single-piece and built-up
  • Door casings and cased openings
  • Window casings, stools and aprons
  • Coped and mitered joints fit on site
  • Trim left clean and ready for your painter or finisher

When you might need it

  • You're renovating and want new trim that suits the house
  • Floors have been replaced and base molding needs to be reinstalled or upgraded
  • Doors and windows have been replaced and need new casings
  • You're finishing a new space and want a complete trim package

Architectural Millwork

Interior architectural millwork adds depth and proportion to a room. It also leaves little room for error: panels, moldings and surrounds have to align with each other and with the architecture around them. We install millwork to the drawings and adjust it to the real conditions on site.

What it includes

  • Wall paneling and applied panel molding
  • Paneled surrounds and backs for built-ins
  • Built-up crown and decorative moldings
  • Millwork integrated with cabinetry, doors and trim
  • Alignment and proportion checked across the whole wall or room

When you might need it

  • Your architect or designer has specified interior millwork
  • You want a study, library or living room to feel more finished
  • Built-ins need paneled ends, backs or surrounds to look integrated
  • Existing millwork needs to be extended or matched in a renovation

Residential Remodeling

In a renovation, carpentry runs through almost every phase — from opening walls and framing to the last piece of trim. We handle the carpentry side of residential remodeling projects and coordinate with you, your designer, your GC and the other trades so the work moves in the right order.

What it includes

  • Carpentry for room renovations and reconfigurations
  • Framing, openings and blocking for new layouts and built-ins
  • Cabinetry, millwork and finish carpentry for the remodeled space
  • Door installation and hardware
  • Coordination with other trades, your GC and your designer

When you might need it

  • You're renovating a room and need a carpentry crew for the full scope
  • Your GC or designer is looking for a carpentry subcontractor
  • You're updating a home in stages and want consistent carpentry throughout

We focus on carpentry. Let us know the full scope of your remodel, and we'll be clear about what we cover and what other trades will handle.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you install cabinetry you didn't build?

Yes — installation is what we do. We install custom cabinetry and built-ins for your project; we don't fabricate cabinetry in a shop of our own. Tell us where you are in the process and what has been selected.

Can you supply materials, or only labor?

We can provide labor, materials, tools, vehicles and equipment, depending on the scope of your project. We'll confirm what's included when we review your project.

Do you work with architects, designers and general contractors?

Yes. We coordinate with the homeowner, the general contractor, the designer and the other trades on site so the carpentry fits the plans and the schedule.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry General Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance, with $2M in coverage.

¿Hablan español?

Sí. We work with homeowners in English and Spanish — whichever you prefer.

What should I send to get started?

Whatever you have: photos of the space, drawings or specifications, the town where the home is, and your target schedule. It helps us understand the scope and prepare a proposal.

Not sure which service fits?

Describe the project in your own words. We'll review it, ask the right questions and tell you how we can help.
